I think and question through the body.
After studying environmental science and atmospheric modeling, I began practicing Contact Improvisation (CI), and since then have continued to deepen and expand my experience of the body through movement workshops.
My research in atmospheric science centered on making invisible data visible, and in that process I came to see how the natural environment and human beings shape one another.
In an age of expanding technology, I explore new structures of sensation and perception that art can open up, and I ask how scientific thought experiments and embodied practices might expand sensory experience.
I am especially interested in the field of performance: for both performer and audience, narratives that remain and liveness that vanishes appear side by side.
